My laptop skin still is the talk where ever I take it! I absolutely love it and it is still looking good! I used the service of the amazing folks at skinit.com to create the one you see below.
Have you added a personalized skin to your laptop?

On Saturday, July 26th, DSP ( Digital Scrapbook Place - digitalscrapbookplace.com) hosted a Laptop Crop at Adobe Headquarters in San Jose’, California. The room was packed with attendees, chocolate, gadgets, more chocolate, cameras, and some other snacks. The crop lasted from 9AM to 9PM. It was nice to meet many new people as well as hug those I hadn’t seen in a while.
The Photoshop Guys sent a special video with a message to “Have Fun” along with an awesome tutorial from Dave Cross.
Another Highlight of the Day was when Amanda Behrmann, Rene’ Bross and Meg entertained the crowd with Dancing Queen. This video can be found on You Tube.
After the crop, the team headed out for some San Jose’ fun in our Laptop Crop “STAFF” tshirts.
All in all the event was amazing and I look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

The HoodLoupe 2.0 is a gadget I will have to tether to my camera! I cannot leave home without it! So many times I don’t know if I “got the shot” when looking at my LCD in broad daylight. The HoodLoupe blocks out all light (eliminating glare!) and allows you to chimp your image on the spot!
I picked mine up from Mike’s Camera - they have the most knowledgeable salesmen around!
At the time of this entry, the HoodLoupe is up to 3.0 - Check it out here
Hoodloupetm Professional is worn around your neck just like a normal loupe. When it is time to review your shot; bring Hoodloupetm up to your image and place your eye up to the eye cup for complete glare free viewing. Hoodloupetm has a +-3 diopter to accommodate those with less than perfect vision. Hoodloupetm adjusts focus just like a binocular eye piece… you turn the eye piece in or out to set for your vision. Minimal magnification is used to eliminate visual pixilation of your image. Each Hoodloupetm is encased in a user friendly rubber for comfort and protection from bumps that will occur throughout your shoot. Comfortable lanyard and compact protective storage case included. Fits up to 3.0 inch LCD screens.

On the 25th of July, DSP Members and part of the DSP Team flew in to San Jose’. Upon arrival at the airport, I met Nicole Young! It was so exciting to finally meet her in person. We rode the terminal shuttles and ate a brief snack before meeting up with Allen and Margie Lundy, Lisa Carter and Jae and Amanda Behrmann who flew in from Dallas. What a fun reunion it was. Little Luke was in tow and he is the most amazing baby I have had the chance to meet - sooooo cute and sweet!
After gathering luggage, we quickly whisked off in taxis to set up for the Laptop Crop at Adobe Headquarters in San Jose, CA. The building and personnel at Adobe were awesome! We had a private tour through Adobe and were absolutely amazed! No pictures … sorry.
After getting the conference room all set up and ready, we immediately went to meet the DSP Members for a photowalk of downtown San Jose’. We had quite a crowd - over 40 or so with cameras in tow. There was a little bit of running in the fountains, paid toilets, even a gorgeous cathedral. View some of the photos here - DSP Laptop Crop at Adobe Headquarters
After the photowalk, our crew of many visited the Gordon Biersch for drinks.

Formbygirl (Lynnie) pointed out the reflection of the stain glass window in the glass of the church door.
If you attended the photowalk, please give a shout out in this post.
I would love to have a note from those who attended. It was nice to see you again!

Sometimes the ol’ blood sugar dips a little. I laid down for a while and asked my son to bring me a teaspoon of Peanut Butter…. what did I get?! Exactly that! I got the set of measuring spoons with the teaspoon faithfully filled with just what I asked for and needed.

Today, the kids and I sat down to do my ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) for the Laptop Crop and Photowalk at Adobe (July 25th and 26th, 2008). The first thing they say is … "do we get this one to add to our collection??" I thought… I have fans!! They collect my cards!! Isn’t that cool?!
So… we start making the cards… cut, fold, laminate. My son was working the laminator.
Our Conversation:
Big Smile
"We are going at the speed of 1 CPM."
"What does that mean?" I ask.
"It means we are going at the speed of one card per minute."
**I love his trading card math!!**
A little later..
"One CPM equals 60 CPH (Cards Per Hour)."
I just love how their minds think!
Want to see it? I would let you… but then it wouldn’t be a surprise.

Recently, I had the *brilliant* idea to make an autograph poster for my daughter’s Sweet 16 party. It was a hit!!! Since then, I made another for my other daughter’s graduation party. Now I have people requesting me to make them for their parties. Currently I need to make another one for another daughter’s party.
Sam’s Club prints them for me on their matte finish and I have them in hand within an hour. The prints are gorgeous!
My examples are below. They framed up beautifully and are a wonderful memento for the occasion!
Thank you for looking.
