Well… never say never…

We have a tree in the front yard …  A massive Silver Leaf Maple…   Every year there is something that has to be done to it.  For the last 2 years, there has been one branch just staring out at me that was dead and needed to be removed. 

Well, the birds took up residence and had parties on this branch which set right above my vehicle.  I would have to wash the truck regularly to deal with the aftermath and flurry of poop. 

Finally, last week I switched spots and told my husband he could deal with the bird poop because I had had enough. 

Lo and behold… we are under a torrent of rain with only a slight bit of wind yesterday.  Nothing mind you that would make a 6 inch in diameter branch move.  Well… It gave way totally missing my hubby’s vehicle and plowing right into my windshield!  I also have a dent in the top of the cab. 

All I could do was laugh…the birds or the branch got me in the end.  I could just see the birds up there pecking at the branch and jumping to see if they could get it to fall.  For all I know there was a foreman bird that stood there with a calculated trajectory sketch.

I am still laughing…and I had to replace the dog gone windshield!!!   What are you going to do?!!
